I got pulled over and ticketed for the same thing and 3 weeks later got a letter telling me they had dropped charges cuz they couldn't prove a thing

It's the LAW now in every state that you slow and move over to the other lane! For your safety and theirs.

good thing you did not attempt to run. Most States have a stipulation that allows "Hot Pursuit" to continue even across State lines. Then you would have gotten busted for "evasion". Trust me. I spent a night in jail in N.C. for exactly that. Could have paid a fine and been released, but then they only accepted cash at the magistrate's office. Following day they escorted me to the bank to cash a check. Then made bond payment and was on my way. But by then I was late returning to Camp Lejeune, and got put on restriction for 30 days. Never a good idea to run from any police.

it does not matter if you leave said county. all law enforcement officers have arresting powers throughout their state. although they do observe the jurisdictional lines, they are not limited to them. especially if they are in pursuit.

At 175 the cop waved and smiled and at 190 I waved back. I thought he was just being nice, After about 7 minutes at over 210 he blew his motor. Worst I've seen. He wasn't happy. Then along came one like mine and he had to be doing close to 240. It was a good day.

The officer or deputy had no probable cause, to pull you over. He wanted a chase. He did not identify himself, just asked for ID. The deputy is violating constitutional rights. Stop giving up your rights. His tint was darker than yours he is not above the law. Come on American Citizens.

The cop is wrong. You get over *if it's possible to do so safely* otherwise you apply the brakes.

Every state is different. Here in Missouri it's either slow down or get in the next lane. Sometimes a car is right next you and you can't get over.

cops arent supposed to be on the drivers side window unless its safer for them. they are supposed to be off the road on the passenger side of the vehicle so they aren't in the middle of the road
